Where the venues are
- Benz Circle and Eluru Road — the densest cluster of halls and hotel banquet space. Central, which means parking is the constraint.
- Ramavarappadu and the ring — larger convention venues with the space and truck access a full decor build needs.
- Gannavaram and Nunna — farmhouses and resorts, good for outdoor functions and for guests flying in.
- Mangalagiri and Tadepalli — newer venues across the river, often paired with a temple muhurtham.
- Governorpet and Gunadala — older community halls and church halls, central and traditional.
Fifteen things to check on the site visit
- Actual seated capacity, not the brochure number
- The kitchen — how many burners, water, drainage, and is it even usable
- Where a decor truck unloads, and how far that is from the hall
- Ceiling height and whether anything can be rigged from it
- Power load available, and the generator backup
- Parking, counted in cars, not described as “ample”
- Rooms for the bride and groom to change, with a mirror and a lock
- Toilets — number, cleanliness, and who maintains them during the function
- Whether outside caterers and decorators are permitted at all
- What the venue charges extra for: AC hours, generator, extra hours, cleaning
- The hard end time, and what overrunning costs
- Setup access — from when the previous day, and is there a function before yours
- Where waste goes
- Mobile signal inside the hall
- Whether the booking is written, with the date, the hours and the inclusions named
The two questions people forget
“Is there a function before mine?” If there is, your setup window may be four hours, not a day, and that changes what decor is even possible.
